The acid from the lemon will help to breakdown the dirt and grime. Rinse in cool water, never hot, and let them dry on a towel. For stubborn areas, rub gently with a cloth, do not scrub.
To restore color to your flowers you can spray them with window cleaner and then leave them in the sunlight for thirty minutes. Regardless of what method you use, regular care is the best method for keeping them looking their best.
